Dramatis Personae
A character list and cover reveal for the upcoming serial Menace of the Ro Kan Empire.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, over the next few weeks I will be rolling out info about the next serial in The Book of Dreams series, Menace of the Ro Kan Empire, which will premiere April 7, on the Easter weekend. For this post, I’m revealing the dramatic personae and the cover title. The cover would have been the one I used for the self-publication of the book, but as I also mentioned before, those plans changed, so I will use the cover as a title card for each newsletter post, including premiere chapters of the new serial. So (drum rolls please!) here is the unveiling of the new cover title for Menace of the Ro Kan Empire.
Dramatis Personae
Menace of the Ro Kan Empire - Second in The Book of Dreams series
Agent Kira Wood - agent for the Office of Claims Department in IPPA. She was assigned to be an attaché to Mister, an Idrissarran n'dhia, while he recovers volumes of The Book of Dreams through the four quadrants after he illegally timeshifted into Ro Kannan territory and nearly set off a diplomatic headache between the Interplanetary Peace Alliance and their enemy, the Ro Kan Empire.
Mister - an Idrissarran n'dhia whose role is to recover volumes of The Book of Dreams which were stolen from his planet while under occupation by the Ro Kan Empire. He agreed to take on a human attaché, Agent Kira Wood, to monitor his work and make sure he didn't break any more IPPA regulations.

Empress Supreme Fatyn (Fuh-teen) of the House of Kaspa - Empress of the Ro Kan Empire from the House of Kaspa, one of five ruling parliamentary houses. As the first female ruler of the Ro Kan Empire, Empress Fatyn must battle against enemies within the houses of the Ro Kan Empire who want to dethrone her while meting out the reforms first initiated by her father, who passed away in office. She hopes to usher in a new age of empire among her people, but she is surrounded by enemies and doesn't know who to trust.
Counselor Supreme Barillion - Aide to Empress Supreme of the House of Kaspa.
Counselor Supreme, Commandant Dveryon (Duh-vair-ee-on) - Emissary acting on behalf of the Imperial Throne of the Ro Kan Empire during preliminary negotiations with IPPA over the re-positioning of the Neutral Zone dividing IPPA and Ro Kannan territories and the return of AK IV, a neutral planet, to the Ro Kan Empire. Dveryon has his own agenda which differs from the Imperial Throne: 1) to force IPPA to address piracy along the NZ which has greatly affected the empire's bottom line and 2) to deliver a woman who has been responsible for that piracy, Idra Marlena Diallo, a former fighter pilot during the war who has now, along with a crew of Renegades, rescue refugees who have been taken back into slavery by bounty hunters selling them to the Ro Kan Empire. But Dveryon has an even more personal agenda where Diallo is concerned, one that will pull the Z'Dhia into his schemes.
